Legends Day Bosses Confirmed

Two former Notts managers will be returning to Meadow Lane on Sunday 18 November...

Notts County Legends Day, on Sunday 18 November, is taking shape nicely, with the confirmation of two former managers to coach the legends teams on the day.

Mick Walker and Billy Dearden are the latest names to be added to the list of former faces that will be returning to Meadow Lane on the Sunday, having agreed to each manage one of the two Notts teams that will be playing a specially arranged match on the day, kicking off at 2pm.

Doors open at 12pm on the Sunday, with the current first team squad joining the assembled legends for a signing session in the 1862 Suite, giving fans the chance to get up close to their favourite players old and new.

Other names to be confirmed for the legends game include goalkeepers Darren Ward and Steve Cherry, defenders Ian Barraclough, Michael Johnson and Craig Short, midfielders Phil Turner and Paul Harding and forwards such as Mark Stallard, Tommy Johnson and Dave Regis.

There are a host of other popular former players that will be taking to the field once more at Meadow Lane for the game, which will be followed by a special screening of ‘Notts County: The Movie’, an extended version of the popular video feature that was shown at the 150th Anniversary Gala Banquet back in June.

Featuring more match footage and brand new interviews, the film offers a concise look back at the club’s 150-year history, picking out the highlights of that time and talking to the people involved in some of the most memorable occasions for the club.

The screening will be shown on a specially erected, 12m-wide, inflatable screen in the centre circle on the Meadow Lane pitch, making this a truly unique occasion to mark the club’s anniversary in this, the month of our founding.

Tickets for this entire day are just £5 and are on sale now from the Meadow Lane Ticket Office, by calling 0115 9557 210, or you can book online under ‘events’ at www.nottscountydirect.co.uk.

Every adult who books in advance will be entered into a draw for two lucky winners to actually play in the legends match on the day, with younger supporters given the opportunity to be part of a guard of honour to welcome the players on to the pitch.

There will also be a raffle on the day for one lucky winner in attendance to win a signed, match worn Alan Judge shirt, so there are plenty of reasons to come along for this fantastic celebration of Notts County’s 150th anniversary.

Hospitality packages are also available, with a ticket for the day, carvery meal and car parking space at the ground costing just £20. To book, or for more information, contact the commercial team on 0115 9557 241.
