Talented forward signs two-year deal at Meadow Lane...
Notts County are delighted to announce the signing of former Carlisle United forward Francois Zoko on a two-year deal, after the player passed a medical at Meadow Lane on Friday.
Zoko, who scored 14 goals for Carlisle last season, turned down a new contract at Brunton Park over the summer and has spent the close season considering his options as he looked to begin a new chapter in his career.
The 29-year-old was in attendance at the recent pre-season friendly match between Notts and Scarborough Athletic in Bridlington, where he had a chance to discuss the move with manager Keith Curle and see his new team-mates in action.
He will now join up with the Notts squad upon their return from a summer training camp in Spain, after putting pen-to-paper at Meadow Lane on Friday afternoon.
Zoko is the 10th new player to arrive at Meadow Lane over the close season, as Curle looks to build a squad capable of improving on last season’s seventh place finish in npower League 1.
