A County mad father and son will be treated to a special day out at Meadow Lane after they picked up the lucky pie at the last home game.
Magpies’ supporters are now given the chance to win some fantastic prizes thanks to a new competition launched by the club's catering partners - The Lindley Group.
At selected home games, a lucky star will be attached to a tea bar snack and the fan fortunate enough to pick up the item will be rewarded, just like Patrick and Declan McCullagh (pictured with Declan’s goalkeeping hero Kevin Pilkington), who found the gold star on the bottom of their half time pie.
Patrick and Declan will be treated to a day in Platinum Hospitality at the upcoming home fixture with Crewe Alexandra.
Patrick told the official site: “Declan always has a pie at the game and we were told that we’d picked up the pie with the lucky star.
“When they read the name over the tannoy at half time we were chuffed to bits.
“We can’t wait for the Crewe game and it’s like Christmas come early.
“We’ve been able to come and meet the players including Kevin Pilkington, who has always been one of Declan’s favourites.
“We’ve been in all the other stands and this will complete the set, so what a way to do it.
“It’s good to have these little competitions on matchdays for the fans and we’re hoping for a two or three-nil win to make it a great day all round.”
