Lee agreed to join the club on a free contract in 2009 after leaving Oldham Athletic.
He boasted an impressive record of 141 goals in 344 career appearances - many of which came in the Premier League with West Brom - prior to joining and had totalled just under £8 million in transfer fees during his career.
Fans witnessed just why the likes of Coventry City had splashed out £5 million for his services immediately.
The striker scored a hat-trick on his debut and proceeded to find the net 33 times throughout his first season - bagging Golden Boot accolades for both the club and League 2.
He received the Manager's Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards, as well, following an astounding first season in County colours.
In July 2010, he agreed to extend his contract by a further year, much to the delight of the County faithful.
