Ben was brought to the club on a two-year deal in July 2010 from Blackpool.
The imposing forward played a big part in the Tangerines' monumental promotion to the Premier League, ending up as their third top-scorer with six goals in 22 starts.
He also played a part in all three Play-Off matches that secured their top-flight status, including the 4-3 Semi-Final win over Nottingham Forest.
His strength and aerial presence are his main attributes and he offers a more physical element to the team's frontline.
